Our mouths long to speak in praise of the Lord
to speak of God’s majesty and mighty acts

valleys and hills
galaxies and microns
birds of the air

as we gather to worship this day
bowing in humility at the feet of the one who
made us,
shapes us,
knows us,
loves us
so much he came to us through Christ Jesus
to live among us
to hear our hopes and our dreams
our worries and our doubts
to show, in words and actions
the Kingdom of God is near
Christ Jesus
draw near to us, as we draw near to you
fill this place with the power of the Holy Spirit
that we may

Loving, Holy One
as we draw near to you, we realise more and more how much we need your guidance in our lives
we look at the world, and other people, in the light of our own upbringing and experiences
in the light of what society says is the pattern for living
sometimes those judgements are wrong and not in keeping with building up the Kingdom of God
teach us your ways, Holy One
turn our hearts and minds to your glory
forgive all our sins
and guide us to the paths of righteousness
through Christ our Lord
