What wonder this is
that we can approach God
God who turns God’s face towards us
and blesses us in abundance
through the wonder of creation
across time and space
breathing life into every living thing
and giving us,
mere humans
the deep desire to understand
this universe and everything in it
giving us
mere humans
your likeness
mirroring your unity and diversity
Father, Son, Spirit
One God
three in one
God of trinity
as we gather today
deepen our love for you and one another
accept our praise and prayer
open our hearts and minds to your Word anew
bless us with your presence
within and around us
we pray
and as we pray
pause to reflect on the ways we fail to follow your ways
in thought, word and deed
on our own and in common with others

As God blessed God’s people from eon to eon
as God the Father redeemed God’s people through God the Son
know you are forgiven
cleansed
renewed
restored
to your place as God’s blessed, beloved children
through Christ Jesus
