Lord God
God of power and might
praise and thanksgiving we lay at your throne
for in the weakness of our faith
you saved us
you saved and redeemed us
lead us from death to life
from sin to righteousness
from hate to love
unconditional, unlimited, unqualified love
our hearts burst with gladness at this blessing
you bestow on us, your people
praise be to you
Creator of Heaven and earth
our Rock and Salvation
Liberating One
help us to be bearers of your liberation
reflecting on our own words and actions,
so we can building up others
rather than tearing them down
joining together more and more as siblings in Christ
in our communities
and across your world
Cosmic Christ
the arch of your justice bends towards love
it is an arch of love
the timescale of which we cannot comprehend
but we thank you for revealing your love to us
and for calling us to show that love to others
in response to that call, hear our prayers for others and your world
for those who use their religion to oppress, we pray
for those women in Afghanistan, stripped of rights to even go to the hairdressers, we pray
for hate preachers, who shout bile from our streets, we pray
for those subject to that bile, we pray
for those trapped in the slavery of poverty, we pray
for those whose lives are bogged down by possessions, we pray
for those who enslave others, we pray
for those who care for those weakened by illness of body, mind or soul, we pray
for those who suffer in body, mind or soul, we pray
for the world as it is, rather than as it should be, we pray

Lord God
Father, Son, Spirit
in your great goodness, hear our prayers
though they may be weak and frail
they are offered in love
to you, our maker and redeemer
in faith and trust
