Hope bestowing One
reveal to us the signs of hope around us
in buds
in communities supporting one another
in Christ Jesus
your Son
in whom all our hope is founded
all which has true meaning finds its source
in this Advent season
help us to take time to reflect
to pause
to pray
to seek hope
as we await to receive the Yuletide promises anew
Promise Keeping One
we cannot thank you enough for the hope we have in the covenant you keep
with us
and all creation
help us to be participants in that hope filled promise
to bring hope
into the places
of hatred
discouragement
doubt
within ourselves
our church
our families
your world
into the quietness of this place
we bring before you those people, places and situations
known to us
who need your hope
our Lord
this Advent season

all these prayers we offer
in and through Christ Jesus
in hope and trust
