When we regard the wonder of the landscape
our eyes are draw up
our souls soar to heaven
our hearts are filled with joy
for its shear beauty and endurance
yet
yet, Lord God
we also take in the wonder that you created, shaped, moulded
the wonder which surrounds us
in our daily lives
the wonder of the hills and valleys
fields and forests
towns and villages
of this place
all made in and through your love
a love which endures forever
a love which blesses in abundance
a love which we seek to draw closer to in our worship today
send the Holy Spirit to us
that we may feel her presence
moving within and around us
birthing and deepening our love, faith and trust in the immortal King
King of the Earth
Christ Jesus
worthy are you of all our praise and adoration
for you do not let our feet slip in the rough and steep climb
you watch over us, day and night
keeping us from harm
yet
yet
we realise through our sin
we cause ourselves, others and this world harm
unkind words breaking down relationships
clinging money and position and property
misusing the resources of the earth
failing to place our whole faith and trust in you
our salvation
yet
yet
you came, not to condemn the world, but to save it
anew today
we seek your saving grace
the Lord watches over you
watches your coming and going
loves you beyond measure
and grants you forgives
again and again
through the Son of God
