thank you for attending to our needs
the basic needs of clean water, in our homes
literally on tap
we are so blessed to live with access to some of the best water in the world

thank you for filling us with the living water
from the well we can always draw on
Christ Jesus, our Lord
help us to be his living water in the world
including those as he included
pouring this living water into our homes and community
[pause]
Source of community
thank you for the communities we are part of
this church
our families
our friends and social groups
our neighbourhoods
our clubs and workplaces
help us to bless these places with your living water
to cleanse, renew and bless
in Christ’s name

thank you for life
in its abundance and variety
help us to live to sustain ourselves
others
and this world
to receive and know life in all its fullness
[pause]
we recognise,
your world is in deep, deep turmoil
our hearts ache
our minds are aghast at the enormity of it all
we struggle to comprehend what to do
and how our prayers help
but in faith and trust
we offer them
in and through our Saviour
the source of living water
for this world
